About the product
When will Gestambo be available?
The system is in active development. The first producers will be able to use it during the pilot program, in the coming months. The general public release will happen during the year, once the main modules are validated with real dairy farms.
What kind of dairy farms can use Gestambo?
The system is designed for dairy farms of any size: from small family operations to operations with several hundred cows. There are tiered plans that fit each case.
Does it work in Uruguay?
Yes. We support both Argentina and Uruguay: country-specific livestock categories, electronic invoicing (AFIP / DGI), and traceability (SENASA / SNIG).
Is it a replacement for the Visual Basic Gestambo?
It's not a migration of the old system: it's a new system, built from scratch with modern technology. We keep the operational knowledge and proven business rules, but the architecture, the database, the interface, and everything else are completely new. We'll offer data import so you don't lose your history.
About usage
Do I need to install anything?
No. Gestambo is a cloud system you access from the browser. You don't need to install anything on the PC or maintain servers. You just need a device with an internet connection.
Does it work from a phone?
The web version is optimized for phones and tablets. Down the road we'll evaluate a dedicated mobile app with offline support, designed specifically for entering data in the field.
Can I import my data from the old system?
Yes. We're designing an importer from the Visual Basic Gestambo (Access database) and tools to import from common Excel sheets. Final quality depends on how your data looks today, so it's a good idea to review the migration plan with us.
Will I be able to enter data in the field without internet?
In the first version, you'll need a connection. We're working to make the mobile Daily Report support offline mode in a later phase.
About the subscription
Will there be a trial period?
Yes. All plans will include a trial period without a credit card. You'll be able to explore the system with your data before deciding.
What plans will there be?
We're finalizing the definitive matrix, but the idea is to have at least three tiers: an entry plan, a mid plan with all the key features, and an enterprise plan for large operations with advanced integrations.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, you'll be able to upgrade or downgrade whenever you want. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the billing cycle.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your data is still yours. If you cancel, you keep read access for a reasonable period and you can export it in standard formats (Excel, CSV) without restrictions.
About security and privacy
Where is my data stored?
On our own cloud infrastructure, hosted in professional datacenters with continuous backups and replication. Data is always transmitted encrypted (TLS) and encrypted at rest.
Who can see my data?
Only you and the users you invite to your account. Our team does not access your production data unless you explicitly request it for support.
Do you share data with third parties?
No. We don't sell your data. The only integrations that send information to third parties are the ones you explicitly enable (AFIP, sensors, banks, etc.).
